The reportorial mechanism is through phone call, email, messenger and zoom meetings to facilitate the reporting. Week 1 and 2 Peer Monitoring Report (May 10-17, 18-24, 2020 respectively), consists of general observations and/or recommendations from the PWD community coming from Northern Mindanao from the two Cities of Bukidnon – (Malaybalay and Valencia), as well as Cagayan de Oro City and El Salvador City of Misamis Oriental respectively. Twenty-one barangays in Cagayan de Oro were likewise included in the survey where most of these WWDs & GWDs reside. And the peer monitors were able to gather responses from one hundred sixty (160) WWD & GWD respondents. Our fifteen (15) peer monitors have monitored from the following disability sector: 1) Deaf -19 2) Down Syndrome - 5 3) Intellectual Disability - 12 4) Late Developmental Delay - 2 5) Learning Disability -7 6) Mental Disability- 6 7) Women With Profound Disabilities - 1 8) Orthopedic Disability - 57 9) Physical Disability - 6 10) Speech & Language Disability - 5 11) Visual Disability - 40 General Issues and Recommendations Monitored: 1) No clear information as to who are the beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP). 2) Immediate is for basic needs: Food, Shelter, Clothings, which remains to be an issue until now since family members cannot work and is dependent with relatives. 3) For the government to provide livelihood for women with disabilities since they do not have work (most of the PWD worked as massage therapist and it is still not allowed to work); 4) Protection for all family especially in this time of COVID-19; 5) Some of the women disabilities that they experienced in COVID-19 on mental health issue; 6) There are GBV issues occurring at home, specifically rape case; 7) Most of the deaf respondents have become dependents of their parents even if they already have families of their own. 2.2 Situation of IDP Women, Elderly and Children GAD January-May 2020 Situation Report CHR-X Page 3 of 20
