As shown in this situation, the office needs to continue participating to
the council where the rights of OFW and their family’s is their priority such as
SCIMD among others.
IV.
Recommendations
Based on the above discussions, the following are the recommendations:
1. Sustained and intensified advocacy and information dissemination on
migrant workers’ rights despite this pandemic.
2. Administrative bodies responsible in implementing the Migrant Workers
Act as amended shall be really concern on the Migrants Worker
especially during this pandemic as an advocacy not just as an official
task/responsibility or obligation.
3. Programs to be implemented shall not only be superficial rather it will
provide long term solution to the inability to work abroad due to public
health issues.
