Binay rel: AN IMPROVING ACCESS OF PERSONS PRIVATE FACILITIES, AMENDING NO. 7277 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PERSONS ACT WITH DISABILITY TO PUBLIC AND FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT THE MAGNA CARTA FOR DISABLED Be i t enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the Phiiippines in Congress assembied: 1 2 Section 1. Paragraph (q) is hereby inserted under Section 4 o f R.A. 7277 as follows: 3 4 5 "Q.) GUIDE ANIMALS SHALL REFER TO ANIMALS THAT ASSIST PWDS TO COPE WITH THEIR SPECIFIC DISABILITIES." 6 7 Sec. 2. Section 25 of R.A. 7277 is hereby amended to read as follows: 8 9 "Sec. 25. Barrier-Free Environment. - The State shall 10 ensure the attainment of a barrier-free environment that will 11 enable persons with disability to have access in public and private 12 buildings and establishments and such other places mentioned in 13 Batas Pambansa Bilang 344, otherwise known as the "Accessibility 14 Law." FOR PURPOSES OF THIS PROVISION, GUIDE ANIMALS 15 ACCOMPANYING PERSONS WITH DISABILITY SHALL SIMILARLY 16 ALSO BE ALLOWED ACCESS. 1
