GBV CASE IN NCR
A 17 years old student was being threatened by a certain person who is
using a dummy account on Facebook. According to the victim, she was
threatened by the said person to make her nude pictures out in the public. She
further stated that both the victim and the said person used dummy accounts.
Prior to the threats and harassments, the victim sent the GBV perpetrator a
short video and four (4) pictures to FB Messenger of which among those materials
contains her hair and her eyes. A minute after the victim sent the said videos and
photos, she immediately deleted the same from the chat box but unluckily, the
said GBV perpetrator was able to save the said materials.
Consequently, she deactivated her dummy account but she preserved
the entire conversation with the said GBV perpetrator. The victim sought
assistance from the Commission.
Therefore, CHR-GEWHRC referred the case to the CHR-CRC for proper
investigation. E-mails were also sent to the victim but no feedback from the victim
up to this date.
