"Teresa kept the rape incident secret until the evening of June 7, 1998, when Teresa was eating dinner with the family and Antonio asked her if anything happened to her. He and Teresa then went to her uncle ‘Ruben’, who then accompanied them to their Barangay Captain, Eusebio Cerdeña.
