CHR Strategic Objectives and Programs Atty. Rubin then presented the CHR’s strategic objectives and programs where programming is being located. These objectives are monitored by the Human Rights Centers Management Office1 together with the Policy Advisory Office2 (table below). As a policy office, the GEWHRC monitors the situation of women's human rights through the issuance of human rights situationer reports together with the Policy Advisory Office. In responding to the mandate of reporting in relation to thematic topics like Gender and Development and Gender-Based Violence, the GEWHRC has 4 programs, as listed below: Strategic Objectives Programs Strengthen the CHR mandate to effectively address critical human rights violations, such as EJK, atrocities of Martial Law, torture, gender-related violence, among others Program 1: Enhancing Gender Ombud reporting and monitoring - Situation reports Promote and/or conduct research on human rights, GAD, and other thematic issues, knowledge management, and exchange of viable information with stakeholders through various regional and international human rights mechanisms Program 2: Gender Ombud Observatory (under GOJUST funding) Institutionalize collaborative human rights and gender and development (GAD) program, projects, and activities with CSOs Program 4: Strengthening partnerships and collaboration for WHR and the rights of persons with diverse SOGIE Program 3: Mainstreaming CHR's Role As Gender Ombud3 The current forum on WPS falls under Program 1 (Enhancing Gender Ombud Reporting).
