Khim Russel Abalos was a former member of Alliance of Concerned Students - UP Baguio (ACS UPB). ACS UPB is a student organization which is actively involved in students protests and activism. During his days in ACS UPB, he received several threats stating that he was an NPA recruiter. He is currently employed as a journalist at Northern Dispatch. On June 1, 2020 there were several posts including the facebook page of La Trinidad MPS tagging him as an NPA Recruiter. 7. ANNE MARGARETTE TAULI (CHR-CAR Case No. 2020-0055) Anne Margarette Tauli is part of the congress that gave birth to Cordillera Peoples Alliance. She was an active member of the CPA and also became its chairperson. She was also the Party Wife of Julius Giron, a top official of the CPP NPA NDF. Accordingly, she was the owner of the house where Giron was staying where Giron chose to fight it out with the government forces. Allegedly, there was a shoot to kill order for Tauli. Fearing for her life, she asked Hermogenes Esperon to broker a deal to clear her name. 8. KIMBERLIE QUITASOL (representing NORTHERN DISPATCH) (CHR-CAR Case No. 2020-0043) Kimberlie Quitasol is the Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Dispatch, an alternative online media which provides news and covers events on their website. The Northern Dispatch has been tagged as communist front organization and CPP NPA supporter by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict on May 12, 2020. Since then, their journalists like Khim Russel Abalos and several others has been subjected to several posts on social media tagging them as communist recruiters and sympathizers. IV. ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL RIGHTS A. Business and Human Rights The Cordillera Administrative Region is famously known for its major sources of livelihood in terms of agriculture, mining, and tourism. In the agribusiness, Cordilleran vegetables such as lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, cabbages, and other greens are getting recognized as cheap, alternative sources of nutritious food which are highly sought even by people in the lowlands.
