Nationwide, male agricultural workers received wage rate higher than what was received by their female counterparts. In 2015, the nominal wage rate paid to male agricultural workers amounted to P271.45 per day. This was higher by P21.24 from the wage rate paid to female agricultural workers at P250.21 per day. In real terms, the daily agricultural wage rate of male workers reached P191.84 while that of the female workers averaged to P176.82 in 2015. Wage differential was P15.02 in favor of males. By region, the highest nominal wage rate paid to male agricultural workers was reported in Central Luzon at P366.88 per day while for females, it was Caraga at P299.41 per day. The lowest nominal wage rate received by male agricultural workers was recorded in Central Visayas at P230.75 per day. The female agricultural workers were paid the lowest at P170.16 per day in Eastern Visayas and P161.04 per day in ARMM. In real terms, Central Luzon reached the biggest wage rates for males at P258.18 per day and for females at P204.05 per day. In contrast, the lowest real agricultural wage rate of males at P158.14 per day was noted in Zamboanga Peninsula. On the other hand, Eastern Visayas and ARMM registered the least daily wage rate for female agricultural workers at P112.02 and P102.97 respectively (Tables 7.1a -7.1b and 7.2a-7.2b). 6
