GBV CASE IN NORTHERN MINDANAO REGION
The victim, 18 years old student in Northern Mindanao Region, posted in her
twitter account dated 27 April 2020 about the sexual harassment that her teacher
committed against her. In her post, sometime in October 2018, while inside the
classroom and after she delivered her speech in their English class, the GBV
perpetrator grabbed the former’s right hand and suddenly kissed the same
against the former’s will. The said sexual harassment was repeated in the same
class when after her group presentation, her professor forcibly held her chin and
placed the same almost near his mouth.
CHR Region X already sent a referral pertaining to the alleged sexual
harassment committed against the victim which as addressed to the
administrator of the university.
