GBV CASE IN REGION IX
A group of LGBTQIA+ in Region IX allegedly had suffered injury for allegedly
violating the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) protocols. According to
the report, the said group was beaten by bat and their hair was cut as
consequences for allegedly violating the aforesaid protocols.
The present case was referred to CHR-IX for appropriate investigation. CHRIX conducted monitoring and investigation. Eventually, there was an amicable
settlement made by the barangay and the LGBTQIA+ group concerned.
