In the 61-older age bracket, one (1) or four percent (4%) was a resident of
San Roque. None came from the other ffour barangays.
In sum, there were five (5) or five point six percent (5.6%) who were 17younger, fourteen (14) or fifteen point seven percent (15.7%) who were
aged 18-21, forty-six (46) or fifty-one point seven percent (51.7%) who
belonged to the 22-40 age group, twenty-three (23) or twenty-five point
eight percent (25.8%) who were part of the 41-60 age bracket, and one (1)
or one point two percent (1.2%) were 61 years of age or even older.
The age grouping followed the grouping of Erik Erikson’a (Orenstein &
Lewis, 2020) Stages of Psychosocial Development, particularly on
Adolescence (13-17), Young adulthood (18-40), Adulthood (41-60) and
Old Age Period (61 and Older).
From the findings as presented in Table 2, data reveal that 5.6% of the
VAW survivors were minors, having been 17 years old or younger at the
time of the data gathering, and 1.2% was a senior citizen, which
consequently meant that they were twice vulnerable as VAW survivors.
Data likewise meant that the majority of the total population belonged to
the age bracket of 22-40 who were classified as Young Adults in
psychosocial development.
