POLICY ADVISORY SERVICES Early this year, this office issued a bulletin on the ‗ CHR‘S POSITION ON THE ANTIDISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY AND EXPRESSION BILL (Senate Bill No. 1271)‘. This is in response to the letter-request from the Committee on Social Services, Cagayan de Oro City, whereby a group of individuals expressing opposition on the passage of said bill in connection with draft Cagayan de Oro City Diversity and Equality Ordinance (CDEO). The bulletin provides a clear response and stand of CHR as Gender Ombud re: Senate Bill No, 1271 vis-à-vis CDEO. Copy of said bulletin was posted online for the public to read and transmitted the same to the Office of the Committee on Social Services. (A copy of the HR Bulletin is herein attached).
