Type of Violence Inflicted on the Women Twenty-nine (29) indicators were given to identify the type of violence inflicted on the women, whether physical (Ph), psychological (Ps), economic (E), sexual (S) or there is no violence at all (N). These indicators and the corresponding type are: 1. He slaps me on my face. Ph Sinasampal n’ya ako sa mukha. 2. He caresses my hands. N Hinawak-hawakan nya ang aking mga kamay. 3. He shouts at me whether or not the children are around. Ph Sinisigawan nya ako kahit naandyan ang aming mga anak. 4. He does not give me money for support. E Hindi nya ako binibigyan ng pera bilang suporta. 5. He accompanies me for medical checkups whether for me or our children. N Sinasamahan nya ako pag magpacheck up, o magpagamot para sa akin, o sa mga bata. 6. He threatens to leave me. Ps Binabalaan o tinatakot nya akong iwanan nang tuluyan. 7. He kisses me on my cheeks, lips and forehead. N Hinahalikan nya ako sa pisngi, labi, at noo. 8. He hits my stomach. Ph Sinusuntok nya ako sa tiyan. 9. He provides money for the kids’ schooling, for grocery and home needs. N Nagbibigay sya ng pera para sa pag-aaral/edukasyon ng mga bata, para pagkain at ibang pangangailangan sa bahay. 10.
