C. Proposed/Recommended/Draft Intervention on Mental Health
VAW Survivors have been cited by the UN Women as human beings in
need of attention for mental health care as their safety, recovery and
healing from violence takes time as well as comprehensive and
profesional treatment. At times, “this critical health service is not
available or accesible for a vast majority of survivors, especially in lowto-middle-income countries” (UNW, 2020).
The following activities are proposed to support the intervention on
mental health:
1. Conduct of Psychological First Aid such as Steps in Doing breathing
Exercises for Victims
2. Conduct of Psychological First Aid such as Steps in Doing breathing

Barangay Focal Persons and Other State Actors Directly Involved in

3. Providing Listening and Sharing Sessions Among Survivors
4. Providing Psycotherapic Sessions for Survivors with Mental Health
Professionals
5. Advocacy on Mental Health
The above activities may be done in partnership with an association of
psychologists, psychotherapists, with an NGO, another GO or GA, or an
