SEC. 6. Establishment of ILRCs. – The DepEd, in

collaboration with local government units (LGUs), shall
3
establish and maintain at least one (1) ILRC in all cities
4
and municipalities. All existing SPED Centers shall be
5
converted to and renamed as “Inclusive Learning Resource
6
Center”.

The LGUs may establish satellite ILRCs in schools,
8
the operations and maintenance of which shall be included
9
in the School Improvement Plan (SIP). The SIP refers to a
10
roadmap that lays down the school’s specific interventions
11
and
12
improvement areas and aims to improve the three (3) key
13
result areas in basic education: access, quality, and
14
governance.
