Details may not add up to totals due to rounding. 2. Employment rate is the ratio of the total employed to the total labor force multiplied by 100. 3. Data for the year were averages of four survey rounds (January, April, July and October). 4. Annualized data for 2014 refer to the average of estimates for April, July and October survey rounds. The estimates for these rounds exclude Leyte province while that of January exclude Region VIII. 5. Annualized data for 2015 refer to the average of the four survey rounds that exclude Leyte. The use of the four survey rounds that exclude Leyte was based on the results of the referendum conducted among members of the Inter-Agency Committee on Labor and Productivity Statistics (IACLPS). 6. Starting April 2016 round, the Labor Force Survey (LFS) adopted the 2013 Master Sample Design as well as the population projections based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (2010 CPH) while previous survey rounds were derived using the 2000 CPH population projections. 7. Annualized data for 2016 was computed as the average of the four survey rounds using the January 2016 round that was based on the 2010 CPH population projections. a Employment rate for 2005 cannot be computed due to the adoption of the new unemployment definition starting April 2005 of the LFS, The revision affected the composition of the labor force which is the base for the computation of the employment rate. Hence, data for employment rate starting April 2005 onwards are not comparable with prior survey rounds. 3-1
