As a woman, what is your message to the fisherfolks sector? “Let us be one with one another. Let us be one in our work for our families and our community. Let us extend more understanding to one another. If we have some differences or disputes, let us resolve these calmly. Let’s respect one another, and be responsible for our families’ and community’s economic and relational growth. Let us be hardworking in order to live. Let us help one another even more. For those who are not fisherfolks out there, please do not belittle us just because we are fisher folks or women. Seaweeds farming is an honorable job. We believe that what men can do, we can also do. For family, we can do anything, to live. – Respondent H Please help us have our own boats and fishing equipment. To our friends in the CHR and agencies of government in charge of our sector, listen to our requests and our plea. Once again, let us help one another. Let the youngest of the group, who is the next generation and who carries the incoming generation, have the final word: “Let us help one another; let us help our women fisherfolks!” - Respondent C Respondent C Prepared by: DAVID SABINO ORENDAIN Facilitator/Documenter
