Upon visitation it was seen that the
townhall is in need of repair; the rural health
unit lilkewise was affected by the
earthquake in 2013. Services though are
there but equipment is lacking. There are NDPs deployed in the area. There is a lack of resources as their IRA
cannot sustain these.
Maribojoc25
Maribojoc is a fourth class municipality in the province of Bohol. Located 30 kilometers southwest of
Tagbilaran City, the provincial capital, the municipality is composed of 22 barangays whose residents are
primarily engaged in farming and fishing. Maribojoc has a total of 20,491 people with a population density of
2.6 persons per hectare as of 2010. Urban population consists of 26.61% of the total town population. The
population is predominantly young, with 30% of the total population aged 0-14 years old. The productive force
of the municipality is 60%.26 Maribojoc is a coastal municipality which has the
other ecologic complement of mountains, thus giving the municipality a
biologically diverse environment. It has nine coastal barangays, namely:
Punta Cruz, Guiwanon, Lagtangon, Bood, Dipatlong, Poblacion,
Anislag, San Vicente and Lincod. Jandig, Bayacabac, Punsod, Aliguay,
Cabawan, Agahay, Busao, Toril, San Roque, Tinibgan, San Isidro, Pagnitoan
and Candavid compose the 13 inland barangays.
Land formation of the municipality ranges from sea-level to very steep
slopes. Its highest elevation is 304 meters above sea level. Almost 80% of the municipality experience
