Subsidiary Problems for Baseline Data:*
There having no supporting statistics that have been validly researched
prior to this endeavour, the study requires thus the baseline data as
follows:
1. What is the demographic characteristic profile of the
victims/survivors of cases of violence against women?
2. What are the antecedents and consequences of violence against
women?
3. What is the nature of cases of violence that have been reported?
4. What are the perspectives of survivors of the violence on reporting
the violence?
Baseline data are needed for the lead researcher to lay down the predicate
that indeed, there are victims and survivors in Zamboanga City. The
Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) and City Social Welfare and
Development (CSWD) records cannot be presumed, nor CHR records,
neither statements of victims/survivors, if any, unless laid down vis-a-vis a
baseline study.
