West and Quezon Aves., Quezon City Tel Nos. 373-9534 . 373-9578 . 373-9657 Tel Fax: 373-9765 Website: www.ncip.gov.ph. resource@ncip.gov.ph "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REVISED GUIDELINES ON THE FORMULATION OF THE ANCESTRAL DOMAIN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND PROTECTION PLAN (ADSDPP), DENOMINATED AS ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 02 SERIES OF 2018" RESOLUTION NO. _ 0_7_-1_3_4_·2_0_1_8 Series of2018 WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2004 (Guidelines on the Formulation of the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan) was approved way back in January 30, 2004, by the Second Commission to provide guidance for the ICCs/IPs in preparation for their own ancestral domain sustainable development and protection plan in accordance with their customary practices, laws and traditions; WHEREAS, there is an urgent and important need to revise Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2004 (AO 01 -04) to make it more efficient, effective and applicable in the light of experiences and lessons learned from its implementation during the last fourteen (14) years; WHEREAS, the revision and enhancement of said Guidelines was also a product of encouragement and motivation from both government and the private sector; WHEREAS, coordination and consultation processes were put in place and pursued between and among concerned government agencies, DND representatives, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), NCIP Field and Central Office personnel, invited ICC/IP leaders; WHEREAS, the draft Guidelines went through a series of review and refinement as a result of inputs from all the various sectors who participated and contributed during workshops; WHEREAS, the said Guidelines also underwent several en bane deliberations where each provision was discussed, clarifications were made, remarks and recommendations were suggested and as a result additional final inputs were incorporated; WHEREAS, this Commission believes that this revised Guidelines is sufficient in form and substance, and is without prejudice to other minute details that may be addressed by way of en bane resolution should the need arise; WHEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it; RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED to approve the Revised Guidelines on the Formulation of the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP), and to denominate the same as Administrative Order No. 02 series of 2018;
