Quedado, Information Officer II of the CHR-RO1, an RGADC-1 Webinar that was conducted on November 26, 2020; Lecture on R.A. 7877 and on Gender-Fair Language to DBM-RO1 employees last November 27, 2020; Lecture on R.A. 9262 and R.A. 11313 to DOST-RO1 employees and scholars last December 1, 2020; Guesting on the Beshytaktakan episode of PopCOM-RO1 on December 4, 2020 wherein the roles and functions of CHR as the Gender Ombud as well as the different programs and activities for the National Human Rights Consciousness Week (December 4-10, 2020); Lecture on R.A. 7877 and R.A. 11313 to PopCom-RO1 employees and staff on December 4, 2020; Lecture on R.A. 9208 and R.A. 9231 to DOST-RO1 employees and scholars last December 11, 2020; Lecture on Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expressions (SOGIE) on December 14, 2020 in San Carlos City, Pangasinan; and Conduct of the E-lawyering program/ activity of CHR-RO1 involving Barangay Officials, CSOs, and constituents of Barangay Caunayan, Batac City, Ilocos Norte. Some of the topics discussed involved women’s rights like R.A. 9262, R.A. 10354, and Functionality of Barangay VAW-C Desk. Aside from the above-mentioned promotional activities, this Regional Office also implemented two (2) special projects for the period covered- the conduct of Key Informant Interview (KII) to Women in Fisherfolks in Samara, Aringay, La Union and the Regional Mapping of Legal Referral Mechanisms on GBV during the COVID-19 Pandemic and New Normal in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. For the first project, as the gender Ombud in the Region, the conduct of the Key Informant interview (KII) in re: Women Fisher folk and Women and Girls at Risk of Trafficking during Covid-19 Pandemic, the activity has the following objectives: (1) To render visible and document the roles and tasks undertaken by women fisher folks in the household and in the community; (2) To monitor the implementation of MCW provision on women fisher folks by looking at: women’s roles, economic participation and recognition, access to information, resources and food production; Experiences of marginalization, discrimination; Gender Based Violence; (3) To document the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Women fisher folks; (4) To document awareness of and availment by women fisher folks of government programs in response to COVID-19; (5) To gather recommendations from the ground. As to the second project in re: conduct of Mapping of Legal Referral Mechanisms on GBV During Covid-19 Pandemic and New Normal, it has the following objectives: (1) Document and map GBV legal referral mechanisms during the COVID-19 crisis and the impact of the pandemic on legal referral mechanisms; (2) Partner with duty bearers and community Page 6 of 10
