The petitioners aim to set the record straight by demonstrating that the coal, oil, and gas companies are to a significant extent responsible for the climate crisis and must take action to prevent further human rights abuses resulting from climate impacts. Climate change interferes with the enjoyment of the Filipinos’ fundamental rights.
