was found a few meters from his body. He sustained 1 gunshot wound
at his head and 2 at his body. The only thing missing in his taxi is the dash
camera set installed at the taxi. Police also staed that he was just dumed
in the area and must have been killed elsewhere since the amount of
blood in the area does not match the injuries sutained by Rabang.
4. MICHAEL C. MAURICIO (CHR-CAR Case No. 2020-0036)
Michael Mauricio was a part time guard and would also work part time
at the La Trinidad Trading Post. He went missing and a day after he was
found dead at Talakasan, Ambuklao Road, Pacadal, Baguio City. He
suffered several puncture wounds at his neck and there was signs of
strangulation. According to his uncle, he was involved in illegal drugs and
they could only link his death to such.
NOT DRUG RELATED EJK/ADL CASES
There were seven (7) Extra Judicial Killing (EJK) cases taken cognizance
by this office for the period of January to June 2020. The victims are
mostly alleged to have been involved in the commission of crimes like
rape, theft, and robbery. Those alleged to have been killed by the NPA
were because of their alleged cooperation with the army. One case
involves the killing of three (3) high profile members of the CPP NPA in
alleged shoot out with the police and military.
1. CARL MARX PAPA (CHR-CAR Case No. 2020- 0026)
Carl Marx Papa was accused of raping the daughter of his live in
partner. He was brought by the barangay officials to the police station.
The next day, the police claimed that Carl Marx Papa escaped from the
police station. He was found dead at a ravine in San Pascual, Tuba,
Benguet with his hand bounded by handcuffs.
2. JOSEPH CALABSON (CHR-CAR Case No. 2020 - 0037)
Joseph Calabson was a former Punong Barangay. On March 9, 2020,
while doing carpentry work at his house 3 men went inside the house
and shot him dead. The police recovered a letter stating that the Nona
Del Rosario Command of the NPA liquidated Calabson for his alleged
cooperation with the army.
