Yearning to help to do its part in quelling the COVID-19 pandemic, CHR-CAR family reached out to vulnerable sectors especially the PWDs in Baguio City and the adjacent town of Tuba, and La Trinidad, Benguet by monitoring their rights and situation at the same time giving of relief goods purchased out of their pocket. The activity was implemented in two different occasions, first on April 23, 2020 and second on May 6-7, 2020 in partnership with the Pines City Federation of Persons with Disabilities headed by John Paredes and the office of Baguio City Councilor Arthur Allad-iw, Chair of the Committee on Persons with Disabilities. Councilor Allad-iw is a PWD himself having an orthopaedic impairment, an educator, and most of all a human rights advocate.
