1 continuously lived as organized community on communally bounded and defined 2 territory, and who have, under claims of ownership since time immemorial, occupied, 3 possessed customs, tradition and other distinctive cultural traits, or who have, through 4 resistance to political, social and cultural inroads of colonization, non-indigenous 5 religions and culture, became historically differentiated from the majority of Filipinos. 6 ICCs/IPs shall likewise include peoples who are regarded as indigenous on account of 7 their descent from the populations which inhabited the country at the time of conquest or 8 colonization, or at the time of inroads of non-indigenous religions and cultures, or the 9 establishment of present state boundaries, who retain some or all of their own social, 10 economic, cultural and political institutions, but who may have been displaced from their 11 traditional domains or who may have resettled outside their ancestral domains. 12 (H) “Information Technology” - refers to any equipment or interconnected 13 system or subsystem of equipment that is used in the automatic acquisition, storage, 14 analysis, evaluation, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, 15 interchange, transmission, or reception of data or information.
